Our top five wildlife encounters in the 'Yorkshire Nature Triangle' of East Yorkshire

Discover beautiful coastal wildlife across the Flamborough headland. From our clifftops, be amazed by fabulous, close-up views of puffins - no need to go out to sea! Look out for dolphins and harbour porpoises throughout the year. Watch whales making a splash between August to October!

Explore two of Britain's top bird migration hotspots at Flamborough Cliffs and Spurn National Nature Reserve - birds fly here from as far away as Africa!

Gaze upon crystal clear chalk streams at Skerne Wetlands, near Driffield. Kingfishers are spotted regularly and otters have been seen here too.

Visit the once-extinct avocets at North Cave Wetlands. They're now thriving on our shores thanks to tireless conservation work. The avocets at North Cave Wetlands are the most northerly to breed in the UK.

Spot iconic birds of prey including red kites, marsh harriers and hen harriers across the Yorkshire Wolds and on our reserves.

Plan your visit

Our seasonal Wild Guides will help you make the most of a wild day, weekend or week on the coast, Wolds or Humber. They're packed with information and activities to make the most of your time – or even encourage you to stay longer!
