Whether you have a budding naturalist on your hands, or just keen to get the kids more involved with nature, there are a great selection of family friendly wildlife activities on offer within the Yorkshire Nature Triangle.

1. Take a Spurn Safari!

Kids will love riding the giant Unimog 4x4 along the sands at YWT Spurn National Nature Reserve, Easington. Tours last around 2 hours and run most weekends. For more details visit: www.ywt.org.uk/spurn-national-nature-reserve

2. Daily events at RSPB Bempton Cliffs

Between Easter and the end of the summer school holidays, there is a daily events programme at RSPB Bempton Cliffs, nr Bridlington. Puffin patrols, through the lens, minibeast hunts and more make up the events programme. Find out more at www.rspb.org.uk/bemptoncliffs/events

3. Seabird Boat Trips

Weather permitting, take a guided Puffin and Gannet Cruise with the RSPB aboard the Yorkshire Belle from Bridlington, or a guided Living Seas Safari with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust from Flamborough Cliffs during the summer months.

4. Seashore Safaris at the Living Seas Centre

The Living Seas Centre in Flamborough, nr Bridlington, is a free marine visitor centre with arts and crafts activities available every day for children. 5. Whitby Whale Watching

Whale watching boat trips run from Whitby every day through the summer. The best time of year to go is Spetember and October, and boat trips last around 4 hours. Find out more www.whitbywhalewatching.net

6. Yorkshire Wolds Way Tracker Packs

7. Wildlife Walks at YWT North Cave Wetlands

YWT North Cave Wetlands, near Brough, Hull, has surfaced pathways and accessible hides. There is always something to see on the lakes and wet grassland, and on the bird feeding station.
